Compressed Biogas (CBG) is a purified form of biogas produced through the anaerobic digestion of organic waste such as agricultural residues, press mud, municipal solid waste, and cattle dung. After purification, the biogas primarily consists of 95-98% methane, making it comparable to natural gas. It is compressed to high pressure for storage and transportation, enabling its use as a renewable fuel for vehicles (bio-CNG), industrial applications, and gas grid injection. CBG helps in reducing dependence on fossil fuels, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting a circular economy by utilizing organic waste efficiently.
