Biodiesel Processors Forum (BDPF)

About Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a clean and renewable fuel made from natural sources like vegetable oils, animal fats, and used cooking oil. It is produced through a simple process that turns these oils into fuel that works in diesel engines. Using biodiesel helps reduce pollution, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and decrease the use of traditional fossil fuels. It also turns waste oils into a useful resource, helping to manage waste and protect the environment. In India, the government is encouraging the use of biodiesel by blending it with regular diesel, aiming for 5% blending by 2030, as part of efforts to promote sustainable energy and support rural development.

IFGE : Biodiesel Processors Forum (BDPF)

BDPF aims to promote biodiesel as a sustainable, clean-burning alternative to conventional diesel in India. By advocating for supportive policies, fostering innovation, ensuring quality standards, and enhancing economic viability, BDPF seeks to expand market opportunities for biodiesel, especially in sectors like transportation, shipping, and aviation. With India’s National Policy on Biofuels targeting a 5% biodiesel blending by 2030, the forum is dedicated to driving the growth of the biodiesel industry. BDPF is focused on ensuring biodiesel’s role as a key player in India’s sustainable energy future.
