IFGE: Biomass Global Associates Forum (BGAF)

IFGE: Biomass Global Associates Forum (BGAF) was launched on 18^th April 2023 in the presence ofShri Sudip Nag, Mission Director, SAMARTH, NTPC with an aim to promote use of biomass in place of coal in Thermal Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Industry, Refineries, Textiles, Food and Beverages and many other industries. There is a mandate of 5% biomass co-firing in Thermal Power Plants (TPPs) from FY 2024-25. This obligation shall increase to 7% from FY 2025-26.
